Happy Friday everyone! I have been meaning to post for quite sometime, and just keep getting side-tracked. So, I am not even going to post everything I have done in the last two months, because that would be total chaos! I will just start where I am at this week!

It's A Blog Train!!!

Hello there!! And welcome to your next stop on the ScrapMatters [inter]National Scrapbooking Day blog train. This train has stops ALLOVER THE WORLD!!! You have probably just come from Sarah Bennett's blog. That's the stop before this one. And now you've arrived in Texas at my (profiler_mar's) blog!

Our NSD mega-collab at SM this weekend is called "Moments that Matter" and the whole theme of our celebration is all about those moments in our lives that really matter. At each stop you'll find a story about a Moment that Matters along with a freebie!! There are TONS of stops on this blog train, so you can pick up a LOT of goodies!!

OK, so the 'moment that matters' I've chosen to share is....the birth of my first "nephew", my best friend's son, Nik. This was the moment I became Aunt Lissa. When I held Nik for the first time, I was just in awe. Being so close to Chel, as I held Nik it struck me that he was my family, that he was part of me, whether we were blood related or not. At this point my brother had not had his girls yet, and so Nik was the only niece or nephew I could claim, and I was so enamored with him. I could not believe that someone so small could claim such a huge chunk of my heart. This was the closest I had come to being a mom. I never mattered how fiercely I would protect him, how unconditional my love for him would be, and how seeing him just makes me happy. Just having Nik in my life has made me a better person, more compassionate and giving, and more able to appreciate the little things in life.

She and my grandpa have been fortunate enough to still live in the home they own, but now she has been in a nursing home for the last 2 weeks. Please pray for a speedy recovery for her so she can go home with my grandpa. Thank you so much!

New Release Monday!

So, have I told you all that I have a new love? Well, I do. I have been using the Photoshop Lightroom 3 Beta for the last month and, be still my heart. The things it can do to a photo are incredible! Add to that the totally awesome Lightroom Presets from Christian O'dell, at Cat Scrap, and well, my photos will never be the same again! I am going to cry when this Beta expires! I'm going to have to buy it, no question...I just hope I can get a good deal!

The Scrap Matters CT call ended Friday. I am a nervous wreck waiting for news of who was selected! I applied for either the hybrid team or the LO team, so fingers crossed I will make one of them! I just love my ScrapMatters, so here is hoping I make it!

Anyway, enough babble! LOL! On to the new releases!

First up is this awesome March Grab Bag, Oh Sunshiny Day from Captivated visions! It has a page kit, borders, clustered and stacked pages, and templates to make your own stacked pages! It really is an incredible GB!

Long overdue update

Well, it has been over a month since I posted any LO's...eek! Time to update! But first a few announcements. I made two new teams- Yay! ValerieN Designs, exclusively at GottaPixel and Susan Robinson Designs, exclusively at Polka Dot Plum- thanks so much for the opportunity ladies! Also, I am an April guest for Nikki Epperson! Yay! Nikki is a Polka Dot Plum also! I am guesting for Spinky Dink Scraps this month, I guested for her last month too, and I am also a guest for Krystal Hartley this month! :) I am looking forward to it! I am guesting for WM[squared] in March and looking forward to that as well. Ok, so now for some, NEW releases!

First up is Val, geniaBeana's, installment for Color Play this month-U Rock. There are four pieces: Papers, Elements, Alpha, and Flair. Here is my LO:

Before I forget, the pics in most of these LO's are edited in Adobe Lightroom- I found some amazing presets and I am in LOVE!! I will be so sad when they launch the new version and I can no longer use the Beta!

Happy Black Friday y'all! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I got to spend lots of time playing with my new camera, so that was fun! I am still STUFFED believe it or not! Brent and I went to his mom's as well as my parents', so we had LOTS of food!!!

First up is Be Thankful, by Captivated Visions. This kit is not your average Thanksgiving kit. It has a turkey and a pie, but that is where the similarity ends! ;) With a soft color pallette and everyday elements, it will be perfect for scrapping any number of photos!

Next up is Autumnal, by geniaBeana Scraps. This is full of GORGEOUS Fall colors, reminiscent of turkey and dressing, green beans, and cranberry sauce!

I haven't made the cards yet, but my plan is to make cards for this box and give it to my grandma for Christmas, since she loves to send cards in the mail.

Trixie Scraps is back this Friday with an OUTSTANDING Black Friday grab bag, just STUFFED with goodies! Trust me, this GB is to die for! I bought all the SM grab bags on DSD weekend and Tracy's was one of the very best! You will get SO MUCH for your money, so don't miss out!

Second from Krisi this week is a Matchbox Candy Box template set, designed to hold 2, 6, or 12 candy nuggets. It also comes with a candy wrapper template!

Hey everyone! I just had to drop in and show off my AWESOME new blog designed by my girl Rachel, aka Captivated Visions! Isn't it wonderful?? SO totally me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Thank you Rachel!!!!!

And MORE news- I WON the camera! YAY! So now I am learning how to use my new Canon T1i!!! AND, Mike has ordered the parts for my computer, so I will have that this weekend or next week! Woot! SO FUN!!!!

Hi all! Just dropping off one image today, but stay tuned because I have tons of new releases to annouce Friday and Saturday! YAY!

I did this LO for the 11/16 Word Up challenge at ScrapMatters. The challenge was to use a famous slogan for the title of the LO. I searched and found Image is Everything from Canon. It was PERFECT for these pics of pumpkin carving! This LO features Boogity Boo by Designs by Tater.

And while we are on the subject of Canon- I bid on a Canon Rebel T1i on e-Bay and so far I am the only bidder! The auction ends tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me! I have been craving a digital SLR camera for awhile and I am so looking forward to getting one! It is my early Christmas present, so I can take FABULOUS pics of my nieces when I visit them next month!!!

And speaking of Christmas- I get a computer too! Chel's hubby is building me a new desktop- woohoo! And I am going to upgrade to PSE 8, so my digital LO's will be even more fab after the new year!!!!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great DSD weekend and got loads of goodies! Grab bags were revealed last week, so I am playing catch up with posting my LO's! Also, I have had changes in my CT's and have made new teams, so I need to announce that! Happy Saturday everyone! I cannot believe how long it has been since I blogged- it is terrible! I have so, so much to show you, but first some news. I made the very difficult decision to resign from some of my Creative Teams. Working full time and being the CT lead for Captivated Visions makes it difficult to fulfill obligations to 10 teams. So, I resigned from Scrapberry Designs, Shanmomto4 Designs, Designs by Laura, and Snowflake Beach Designs. I wish them all the best of luck but know that they deserve someone who can promote them the way they deserve. I remain with Captivated Visions (Rachel), Trixie Scraps (Tracy), Jady Day Studio (Yari), Geeky Diva Designs (Kim) and geniaBeana Scraps (Val). As geniaBeana and Kimi's Kreations have combined CT's, I will do some work for Kimi, with collab kits, etc. I feel much better, I can be pleased with what I create for my desginers, and I have time to scrap for myself- completing challenges at Scrap Matters, Scrap Orchard, and Sweet Shoppe Designs- all sites where I really want to be active.

Now that I am finished with news, it is time for, NEW RELEASES!

So for the 9/10/09 From Our Blog to Yours Challenge on Sweet Shoppe Designs, I have to blog about my favorite sport or team. So without further ado...

My favorite sport is FOOTBALL! When I was a kid, I hated that my dad had football on all the time. But my family is from Nebraska and in the mid-west, football is LIFE! Literally. So even though in high school, I never paid attention to football, in fact our high school football team was so bad we in the band used to joke that we had no idea WHAT they were playing on the field, by the time I graduated college I was a full-fledged football junkie.

During my college years, it was all about the NFL for me. Even though I didn't like football as a kid, I still picked the Dallas Cowboys to be my favorite team. I remember distinctally thinking that I needed to cheer for a Texas team. The light blue and red of the Houston Oilers turned me off, even though we live less than an hour from Houston, so I decided to route for the Cowboys. They remain my favorite NFL team to this day and I follow the NFC division much more than the AFC.

Now, in my 30's, I favor college football. My favorite team, of course, is the Nebraska Cornhuskers and I follow Big 12 football religiously. I am disappointed in the performance of the Huskers in the last several years. But we will persevere! I favor college football now because of the drive and passion behind it. They play with much more life and energy than the NFL does. I just love it!

Go Huskers!! Go Cowboys!! Woohoo!!

Oh my poor neglected blog! It has been WAY TOO LONG since I posted! And what's really sad is I only have 10 new LO's to show! LOL! Of course there are some new release LO's I've done that aren't ready for posting yet. But stayed tuned, because I have a FABULOUS new release to show you all tomorrow!

The past couple of weeks have been crazy for me! My boyfriend is moving in next Saturday and trying to get ready for that is taking so much out of me! What's worse, I have one week left and am SO not ready! Plus, I will be in a training in Dallas next week, so I have barely been online and won't be online much in the next week either! I am having withdrawl!

Let's see, annoucements....I am THRILLED to announce that I am a new CT member for Trixie Scraps at Scrap Matters! Woot! Her designs and team are awesome and I have been having so much fun! And in case I haven't announced it, I am now the lead CT member for Captivated Visions! Love my girl Rachel! It's like we are long lost friends! LOL! I'll be back tomorrow to show off her newest kit! This is one of my first hybrid projects! I made it for a new release for Geeky Diva Designs, Tag Bag Templates, I made mine into a bag full of hot tamales for my BF, and called it my Hot Tamale Bag:

Here are my first two LO's for Trixie Scraps. I used her super-cute kit, Early Birds, a collab with Brandy Designs. My first LO, Such A Cutie:

My second LO, This Is Love, used one of Geeky Diva Designs' Boxing Day Templates, altered of course!

I made this LO, Messy, for Shawna Clingermann's CT call. And even though I didn't make the CT, I LOVE this LO! Oh, it was for a scraplift challenge on SSD too!

This LO, Ways We Are Alike, was for a challenge on SSD, to either scrap about what you have in common with your child or with your parent:
